Procedures & Terms

It's a simple, straight-forward procedure to view footage that will potentially fit your request,
and to then follow up with selections ready for edit in the tape format you require.

Most inquiries are initiated with a phone call. This is still the quickest way to get questions
answered or to begin a search and preview tape assembly. If your need isn't immediate,
try entering some data on our Request Research page. We will still call you before starting
to assemble scenes that potentially meet your requirements. Our normal fee for this search
is about $50. This amount can be higher if your list is extensive, as we can spend as much as a day,
or several days filling very large subject requests. This rate is somewhat flexible and can sometimes
be less than 50. if you have a few days and our time spent is minimal.
The research fee is often discounted if you follow up with a footage order.
We ship via FedEx, usually with a FE number that you provide.

Preview tapes include on-screen indicators that identify each shot on the tape.
Note the letter codes and the running time code numbers to ensure clear communication.
After you fax or e-mail your selections, we then access our Masters and send you clean copies on Beta SP,
Digital Beta, or whatever tape format you need. Let us know if an order is coming.
If placed early enough in the day we can often have your selections
in your hands the next morning.

Rates

Rates for use are based generally on the amount of exposure for a given project, and therefore the value received.
An Internal Corporate video for example is rated much less than a National Television Commercial.
(In special cases consideration must also be made for the difficulty in obtaining a shot or the
inability to replicate unique conditions, special requirements or actions involved.)
Internal Corporate use is normally at $40. per sec. w/10 sec. minimum per cut, single project
Local TV Spot - 90. per sec. w/10 sec. min. per cut
National TV Spot - 180. per sec. w/ 10 sec. min. per cut
Please call for quotes on other types of productions.
Some flexibility may be possible for an order of several clips, depending on specific selections.
Dub and lab charges are additional, usually 75. - 100 for single clip. More for large orders.

Our basic License Agreement mainly reiterates an understanding that the footage is to be used
for a specific project title only, and for a specific duration.
Master dubs need to be returned after your edit.
